Alvogen Korea makes kimchi at the Seoul children´s welfare center
On November 20, employees of Alvogen Korea volunteered to make kimchi at the Seoul Children's Welfare Center. The kimchi-making (or kimjang) volunteer work, is part of "Hellow," the CSR brand of Alvogen Korea that supports the lifestyle of healthy and vibrant communities, and was designed to lend a helping hand to the underprivileged in the community.
The kimjang event was held outside due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where people made kimchi while keeping 2 meters distance away from one another with cabbage that had already been pickled to minimize people’s movement. In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, all the executives and employees who participated in the event thoroughly observed personal hygiene requirements by having their temperatures checked and wearing masks.
Kimchi of 150 cabbages (or pogi) made by executives and employees will be delivered to centers for children's food service, nursing homes in local communities, and basic livelihood security recipients.
