For the third year in a row, Alvogen stood out in the crowd at the annual CPhI event last week, which this year was hosted in Paris, France. CPhI is the premiere event of the year in the pharma industry calendar and the largest networking event in the world, attracting more than 30,000 visitors from over 140 countries.
This gave us all a wonderful opportunity to meet up with international pharmaceutical companies face-to-face, and to chat with old partners and new contacts, as well as current and potential customers.
As usual, there was never a dull moment at the Alvogen booth, which couldn’t be missed, thanks to its design inspired by molecule shapes, golfing and fun. Many of Alvogen’s top senior managers were there to connect with guests and colleagues first-hand.
The real fun event at the Alvogen stand this year was the “Closest to the Pin” golfing competition, which gave participants a chance to play on the legendary Pebble Beach course on an HD golf simulator. The purpose of the exercise was to highlight the company’s quest for strong players in pharma and challengers who can stay on the ball. More than 300 participants enrolled for the game, with three proving they could really swing it. The first prize went to Gary Waters from Juno Pharmaceuticals, whose ball landed a mere 0.1m away from the pin at Pebble beach, followed by Dr. Jurgen Jager from Auris Medical (0.3m) and Andrea Belli from Savino Del Bene USA (0.6m). Trophies included the brand new iPhone 6 and high quality golf distance finders.
We’re already looking forward to CPhI 2015!
