Alvogen Kicks off in Thailand

Business
08 February 2016

Alvogen held its annual Kick-off in Phuket, Thailand, this January. This event has now become a fixed feature in the Alvogen calendar and is hosted in a different country at the beginning of every year to bring its senior management team from around the globe together for an annual leadership meeting. This year there were more than 115 company executives in attendance and, as is the tradition, their principal mission was to discuss business plans and identify key areas for the coming year. During these intensive few days, Alvogen’s Chairman and CEO Robert Wessman and other members of his global team delivered presentations on their regions and business units, while members of various divisions met to discuss future strategies and objectives.

Robert Wessman commented:

“Our goal is to become a top 5 global generic pharmaceuticals company and achieve a turnover of US$3 billion by the end of this decade so events like these are vitally important to us. Our objective is to become the preferred partner in all our markets by 2020 so annual leadership meetings like these give us an opportunity to reflect on our vision and map out our strategy for success in the coming year. We’re a big league player now and more excited than ever to tackle the challenges that lie ahead".

The Phuket meeting was only the first of Alvogen’s annual Kick-off meetings in 2016. In the coming weeks, each country manager in the Alvogen offices in 35 countries will host local town hall meetings to present the group’s goals, priorities and vision for 2016, along with local plans for the exciting year ahead.
