SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Sales and Distribution Specialist designs, configures and customizes applications for the management and analysis of the company's Sales information using SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) modules. Provides overall system support for SAP as well as acts as business liaison for Customer Service U.S.
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
The Sales and Distribution Specialist reports to the Senior Manager, SAP.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
a. Work with business users to gather SD requirements, configure the ECC 6.0 system, test new functionality and provide on-going support. b. Research and document current business processes and provide process improvement recommendations to the business. c. Analyze and develop functional/technical specifications and communicate to technical developers in order to develop the required solutions in the most efficient way. d. Understand the integration points of SAP and how they interact with the SD module. e. Manage and prioritize service tickets to meet individual deadlines. f. Adhere to departmental procedures regarding transporting and validating changes. g. Work closely with Customer Service team to understand all current SAP/EDI functionality in place. h. Work closely with EDI coordinator to ensure transactions are fluid i. Analyze pain points and recommend, document and configure solutions. j. Provide ongoing training and guidance to Customer Service as needed. k. Works in close integration with Customer Service in order to make sure the solutions designed meet the requirements and work done meets the expectations in terms of planning and priorities. l. Provide training for current and future development of the Sales and Distribution module to the Customer Service team.
